Purple Taro Cake

Purple Taro Cake
Ingredients:

  • 10 egg yolks
  • 6 egg whites
  • 200 grams of wheat flour
  • 200 grams of butter
  • 175 grams of refined sugar
  • 150 grams grated cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla






Purple taro dough:
  • 400 grams of purple taro, steamed and mashed
  • 100 grams of granulated sugar
  • 30 grams cornstarch
  • 10 grams of powdered gelatin
  • 400 milliliters of liquid milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 drop of purple dye
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt


How to make:

  1. Beat the egg yolks with the butter until soft. Separate place, beat the egg whites with the sugar, cream of tartar, and salt Vanilla. Beat until fluffy stiff.
  2. Combine the egg white mixture into the yolk mixture, stirring gently using a spatula. Add the flour and grated cheese and mix well.
  3. Pour batter into cake pan that has been spread with margarine and smooth surface.
  4. Oven at medium temperature with a temperature range of 180 degrees Celsius for 35 minutes or until pastry cooked, remove and let cool.
  5. Taro layer: Mix all ingredients, boil until boiling and thickened.
  6. Cut the cake in half, pour the batter into the purple taro on one piece of the pie. Let harden, cover it with another piece of cake. Cut into pieces and serve.


Tips:
